Bursaries
The Victoria Remembrance Day Committee Poppy Fund offers bursaries to eligible students pursuing post-secondary education in British Columbia or the Yukon. If you meet the qualifications listed below, we encourage you to apply.
Who Can Apply
To be eligible for this bursary, applicants must meet all of the following criteria:

Residency & Citizenship: Must be a Canadian Citizen and resident of British Columbia or the Yukon.

Application Location: Apply through the Royal Canadian Legion branch in your local area. If you are in Victoria, Saanich, or Oak Bay, apply to the Victoria Poppy Fund – submit via email (info @victoriapoppyfund.org) or deliver to 411 Gorge Rd E.

Academic Status:

Must be attending an accredited post-secondary institution in BC or the Yukon (special exceptions may apply for residents of the Kootenay Zones attending institutions in Calgary, Alberta).

Must be enrolled full-time for two consecutive semesters.

Postgraduate programs are not eligible.

Family Background: must be a Veteran or the child, grandchild, or great- grandchild of a Veteran, as defined by the Royal Canadian Legion.

Financial Need: Financial assistance is awarded based on gross household income, consistent with Canada Student Grant thresholds. CRA Notice of Assessment required.
Bursary Amounts

Up to $2500 – for students attending a post-secondary institution including trade schools.
